MASTERthese is incredibly excited to announce our upcoming Let’s Go to Mars event. This event features the fascinating former NASA astronaut and current SpaceX consultant Dr. Garrett Reisman, who will share his humble beginnings and past experiences with 250 specially selected underrepresented 9th-12th grade students. His speech will then transition to education and motivation about the near reality of space travel and the possibility of settling on Mars.
Imagine yourself helping

High schools may select underrepresented students to apply to attend this event. Applicants are required to submit an essay that answers the following question: “Why do you want to travel to Mars, and what do you need to accomplish with your education and career to make that happen?” A rubric will be available in August. A MASTERthese committee will judge submitted essays. One student and one alternate will be selected from each school.
Our Let’s Go to Mars event will take place in Orange County, and is tentatively scheduled for late fall and dependent on COVID-19 safety measures. Please check this website for updates.
